James V. Karhohs, DDS, MS, PC
Dr. James Karhohs attended dental school at the University of Michigan, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979. He continues his dental education and training each day. He has received advanced training in the use of soft tissue lasers, and makes use of cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) scanning to enhance diagnostic information when planning and providing treatment.
As an orthodontist, Dr. Karhohs’ goal is to help his patients become the best versions of themselves. His focus of care ranges from A to Z (airway to sleep)!, and he is committed to helping his patients achieve the best results possible. As part of this commitment, he provide electric toothbrushes at no additional charge to his patients who are receiving braces. Dr. Karhohs is committed to giving his patients the best tools available so that they can succeed in achieving their goals.
He is also dedicated to providing patients with care that aligns their teeth and jaws so that they are in harmony with the orofacial musculature. Orthodontists are uniquely trained to guide dentofacial development, helping children to grow and develop normally so that they avoid problems like bruxism, TMJ disorders and fragmented sleep in the future. This is especially critical for children, as fragmented sleep and other problems often affect cognitive development and academic performance.
Dr. Karhohs is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
